Report Builder – reserved short names


The Report Builder compiles information from the LMS using the information provided by the system, which includes the short names of fields.

 

If a MySQL reserved short name is used as a short name in an LMS field, access to the Report Builder will be blocked and an error message will display similar to this example: “Exception - Join name [the field that is causing the issue] in source [the data source where the issue is occurring] is an SQL reserved word. Please rename the join.”

 

For example, for the user profile field "Start Date" the short name for this field is "start" and is a mySQL reserved name. It will need to be updated to an alternative short name that is not reserved.

 

Here is a list of all MySQL 5.5 reserved names that cannot be used as short names:
